Pedaling for a Cause: Mountain Bike Club in Cycle4HerCycle
On May 25th, Mr. Alexander and members of the Hellenic Academy MTB Club participated in the Cycle4HerCycle event! This inspiring charity ride aims to raise awareness and funds for menstrual health and hygiene initiatives in Zimbabwe. By cycling a designated distance, participants showed solidarity with women and girls who face challenges accessing sanitary products. The event provided a platform for donations to support feminine health programs in the country!
HAMUN 2024: A Weekend of Global Discussions
From May 25th to 26th, Hellenic Academy proudly hosted HAMUN 2024, the Hellenic Academy Model United Nations Conference! Students from 10 schools engaged in stimulating debates, tackling real-world issues and developing solutions. A big thank you to our guest of honor, Fadzayi Mahere, the HUMAN Committee, dedicated MUN club members, and all the helpers who made this event a success!
Life Skills Gets Creative: Body Mapping for Mental Health
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and Life Skills classes at Hellenic Academy are taking a creative approach. Students are exploring the theme of “MOVEMENT” through body mapping. This involves creating a visual representation of their bodies in motion, followed by reflection. Words and colors are used to depict both positive and challenging aspects of their emotional and mental states. We eagerly await the final creations, and a special thanks goes to the Art Department for collaborating on this impactful project.
