Sports Update
Well done to all the competitors who took part – excellent results and outstanding efforts from everyone.
Hellenic Academy competed in numerous sporting fixtures against other schools around Harare this past weekend and have produced a stream of excellent results.
The Girls Water Polo team played against Falcon Girls, Peterhouse Girls and Chisipite Senior School. The matches took place over both Friday and Saturday. Across all the age groups, Hellenic played twenty-two matches, winning sixteen of them. Our senior teams managed a clean sweep of victories in their games.
We played cricket matches against Falcon College and CBC over the weekend. Out of the total of eight matches played we won three and lost five. Two of the losses were by a single run! Our First Team managed to win both their matches which is a tremendous achievement against two excellent Bulawayo cricketing schools. The stand out performances over the weekend were from Druv Patel and Matthew Schonken.
Hellenic also competed in tennis against Falcon where the Girls Invitational team won 18-0 and the Boys Invitational team drew 8-8. Outstanding results!
