Maria Economou (Upper Sixth) takes part in the Ice Ultra Marathon
We are immensely proud of Maria’s efforts and endurance thus far and wish her the best of luck as she competes in aid of the Makomborero Zimbabwe Educational Trust.
The Ice Ultra Marathon, an extreme ultra-distance footrace which takes place in Sweden, started this Tuesday, 22 February – and Hellenic Academy’s very own Maria Economou is competing in this 230km challenge. The race begins in Swedish Lapland, follows the Kungsleden trail and ends at Jokkmokk, Arctic Town. The gruelling course is split into 4 stages and has to be completed within 5 days.
