Hellenic Schools Zimbabwe - Honouring the Heroes of Oxi Day
On Sunday the 23rd of October, a Doxology Service was held at the Hellenic Schools’ Chapel to honour the Heroes of the 28th October 1940.
This was followed by the laying of the wreaths by the Presidents of all the Hellenic Communities and it ended with a traditional Greek dance, a Greek buffet and beverages.
This was the first official function for 2023 Heads of School, Megan Hipwell and Connor Lashbrook, who also laid a wreath in honour of those who fought so valiantly.
All in all, it was a very moving and enjoyable morning at the Hellenic Primary School.
