Hellenic Academy pupils play Chess with a Grand Master!
Three Hellenic Chess players were invited to a Black Tie Simultaneous Exhibition Match against a visiting Super Grandmaster,Mr Nigel Short. Hellenic is an affiliate of the Zimbabwe Chess Federation.
The Grandmaster played over 20 players, including our own Hellenic pupils, Amith Boddapati, Barry Kamanga and Adelle Zengeni. Grand Master Short won all of his games!
This event was an incredible experience and great preparation for our players who qualified for the ATS Chess Team, traveling to the Cape Town Invitational Tournament in August.
