Greek Independence Day

Today, 25th March, marks an important day in the history of Greece. Hellenic Primary School and Hellenic Academy took part in an Independence Day Remembrance Ceremony on the 24th of March. In 1821, the Greeks came together to rise up against the Ottoman Empire which had occupied Greece for almost 400 years, leading to the war of independence.

Today, 25 th March, marks an important day in the history of Greece. Hellenic Primary School and Hellenic Academy took part in an Independence Day Remembrance Ceremony on the 24 th of March. In 1821, the Greeks came together to rise up against the Ottoman Empire which had occupied Greece for almost 400 years, leading to the war of independence. Greeks all over the world celebrate this day as a remembrance and tribute to the past, while appreciating the present and looking ahead to the future. Hellenic Primary School and Hellenic Academy are truly blessed to be able to share this occasion with parents, staff and esteemed members of our Community.
